Zarief E-ttool & Ataba: illustration + layout
For this brief, I researched folk tales to provide an illustration and a suitable layout for a mutli-entry book gathering legents and folklore from around the world.
Illustration
I created three very different illustrations for my customer to chose from, each emphasizing a different aspect of the tale: respectful love, the Dakbeh dance and finally passionate love.
Layout
I produced an assymmetrical layout with a modern serene feel echoing the illustation through hues and typography. I also created a folio and page motifs to provide structure and unitity to a collection of disparate tales.

Watercolour, ink and wax were used for the illustration of the respectful love illustration.
