This event poster for the Annual Conference the Association Typographiqe Internationale (AtypI) is inspired by the venue, Besançon, the town of The Red and The Black (le Rouge et le Noir) by Stendahl. The poster is an hommage to the cedilla contained in the venue name, which sets the tone for the poster.
The illustration was drawn in Illustrator to allow for large scaling for banners and billboards. The A is a lino print that was scanned and cleaner in Photoshop for digital use.
